Last week President O’Biden aroused a wave of criticism because during a speech about abortion in Manassas, Virginia, last Tuesday, he gave a shout-out to “the real governor, Terry McAuliffe.” The RNC and other Republicans took the opportunity to call the POTUS out for being an “election denier” after implying that McAuliffe was actually the winner of the Virginia gubernatorial election in 2021.
Since American citizens are celebrating the birth of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today, it is fitting that Americans review again the reasons that the fight for suffrage for black citizens was not only one of the most substantial foundations for a free Republic in our nation’s history, but also in world history. Although the Thirteenth Amendment of the Constitution abolished slavery in the nation, voting rights for black citizens took nearly 100 more years to secure.
Americans who bothered to tune in, who were able to observe the GOP presidential debates may need to use a more time-honored paradigm as a “measuring stick” to determine the real value of the surviving candidates. The persisting lineup of candidates continue their attempts to “enlighten” the American people with their knowledge or wisdom of current problems in America.
Unless American citizens have been laying out on the nation’s beaches all through the hot summer months, it should be apparent that there has been a shift in tactics from the Biden regime at the end of summer and the beginning of September. The shift occurred as the Party expanded its scope of the “great Purge” of sweeping away any potential political opposition to “democracy” in America. The Democrat regime is no longer going after President Trump, the primary political figure of opposition to the regime. It is now boldly going after core supporters and the MAGA base of support for President Trump even without the facade of the J6 “insurrection.”
As the nation observes Labor Day in 2022, Eugene V. Debs must be looking on from Hell and should be very proud of the socialist advance and insidious influence upon the political realms of the United States. Many Americans are only beginning to awaken to the realization that the steady Socialist investment of energy, money and time has paid off after only 120 years. One has to admit that the Socialists have exercised great patience, as well as great diligence, in their long march to becoming a dominant force in American politics.
Debs was quite likely the most important American socialist in U.S. history. He was a labor organizer and powerful union leader who ran for U.S. president on the Socialist Party platform five times: 1900, 1904, 1908, 1912, and in 1920. His involvement and instigation of the infamous Chicago Pullman Palace Car Company strike launched him into national prominence. This strike led to deadly labor union initiated violence and serious property destruction that was even condemned by other labor unions. It also led to Labor Day.
Several Americans may not even realize that Saturday is one of the official components of MIlitary Appreciation Month, or that the month of May has such a designation. Nevertheless, Armed Forces Appreciation Day is a legal holiday. It is commemorated on the third Saturday each May. The holiday was established during Harry Truman’s administration as part of the National Security Act of 1947. However, the extreme irony engulfing this holiday in 2022 is another Democrat in the White House is unraveling the genuine intent to foster appreciation for the Armed Forces that President Truman had initiated.
Just after Independence Day last year, Joe Biden went to Philadelphia and gave a speech at the National Constitution Center, near Independence Hall. Imagery is quite important for the low information voters, so the photo ops were chosen well. There he declared that “The 21st century Jim Crow assault is real. It’s unrelenting. We’re gonna challenge it, vigorously.” Apparently, America will witness the challenge by an attempted linkage of voting rights to the January 6th “insurrection” if the Left has anything to claim in its arsenal of propaganda.
The recent recall effort to retire Governor Gavin Newsom of California seemingly went up in smoke due to what appears to be a crushing defeat, but was that defeat artificially fortified by election manipulation? On election night on September 14, the mainstream media was quick to proclaim that Newsom survived the recall in stunning fashion, but why so fast? The actual tallies had not been completed for the day of voting. So, the results were based upon all the mailed-in ballots from the previous days--not based upon the people who actually went to the polls to vote in person on election day. And, in one of the most populous counties in California, the in-person voters decided that Gavin Newsom should be recalled.
The absolute hypocrisy of Mayor Sam Liccardo and the San Jose City Council was on full display on Tuesday as they held a sham public hearing on the “possibility” of imposing a mandate requiring proof of vaccine (ie. passports) for all citizens to attend public events in city-owned facilities of over 50 people. Speaker after speaker, not only in person, but also via Zoom, condemned and spoke out against the citywide ordinance. What was surprising is that the city “leaders” had the patience to sit through nearly three hours of negative comments against the vaccine passports. Nevertheless, it appeared that they could not wait to dismiss the comments as irrelevant, as they gave their reasons to vote in support of the mandate.
